6 Days Combined Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Discovery

Only 86 permits are issued by the Rwanda Tourism Board, so it’s important to plan your trip earlier. Expect to Track one of these gorilla families, Susa group with 41 gorilla members, Sabyinyo family with 8 gorillas, Amahoro 17 members, Kwitonda with 18, Umubano with 11 and Hirwa with 13 members.

Group Size: A group of safari minimum of 2- 6pax per vehicle-guaranteed window seat, guaranteed departures subject to accommodation availability.

Day 1: Arrive Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali airport you will be transferred to Kigali; Rwandas capital. While here you will have a briefing about this Rwanda safari. After lunch, depart for PNV at around 2pm. The journey involves driving to the North where you will pass through eye-catching terraced hills which are the case with most of the countrys terrain, steadily as climb to the foothills of the astonishing Virunga volcanoes; there is a possibility of seeing the 5 volcano peaks.

Dinner and overnight: Mid-range safaris or Luxury safaris accommodation

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Rwanda

Set out for gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans (based on the availability of the trekking permit at the time of making your booking). Tracking the mountain gorillas through the light forested mountain slopes of the stunning Virungas is a thrilling experience. When you eventually meet the gorillas, you will allowed an hour with them, seeing them feed, play and look for their young ones. From here you will return for a late lunch at your lodge. Important to note is that some gorilla families are hard to find the tracking may last the entire day especially during the rainy months as the paths are quite muddy.

Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking experience

Today you will visit the beautiful golden monkeys (at an extra fee payable at the time of booking) or opt to drive directly to Gisenyi, or visit Ross Carr’s orphanage as well as Lake Kivu, or walk to Lake Bulera, or hike the Bisoke or Muhabura volcanoes, or alternatively visit one of the local schools and the local community projects.

Dinner and overnight: Mid-range safaris or Luxury safaris accommodation.

Day 4: Trek Dian Fossey’s visit and transfer to Uganda

After breakfast you may choose to relax at the lodge, take a walk around or walk to Dian Fossey’s grave. In the afternoon after your lunch you will head to Uganda.

Dinner and overnight: Mid-range safaris or Luxury safaris accommodation.

Day 5: Gorilla treking in Uganda

Today you will track mountain gorilla again, but this time this will be in Bwindi and later in the day you will take a nature walk in case you still have some energy.

Day 6: Drive to Kampala After breakfast you will drive to Kampala or go directly to Entebbe where you will arrive in the evening for your departure flight.

Una experiencia genial. A fantastic safari Hemos estado con MAASAI AFRICAN GUIDES & DMC Ltd. y con Wild Untouched Adventure por Tanzania y ha sido una experiencia fantástica. 13 días con Ronnie y Cosbi con safaris (Serengeti, Sinya, el paso del río Mara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, lago Manyara, lago Natron...) y otras experiencias inolvidables como la visita a los bosquimanos, los Masai, el mercado local, excursiones en bici y por el río, etc. Ronnie y Cosbi son unos guías geniales que nos han hecho sentir como en casa. Sin duda los recomiendo a todo los que quieran viajar por Tanzania. Nosotros ya tenemos ganas de repetir.

Safari trip with Charles We had great five days with Charles and his team - Goji and Denise. Charles helped us to arrange the tour and booked all the hotels. Great Safari with Joel We had Joel as our guide, and he really made sure we had a great experience during our safari. We visited the Ngorogoro crater & Serengeti and were lucky to even catch a lion with her cubs. Charles is the most good guide For the start, only charles.. And now we can continue. He is so professional, so nice, he know everything on the country, trees, animals... I dont think there is question that he dont have a good answer. He makes our honeymoon the base holiday! He is loyal and make feeling a lot of confidence in country in afrika. Charles is the best guide to explorer the safari parks in Tanzania We just return from 8 days adventure in Tanzania, and Charles was our guide. Tarangire Serengeti Ngoro Ngoro safari I had Charles as a guide during a 4 day safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro and it was the most beautiful experience.Charles has an incredible knowledge about the animals, the nature, the country... He knows the animals so well that we saw all of them, even the Chita who's so difficult to spot sometimes. He not only knows them but he loves them and is very respectful of the surroundings and nature in general.I highly recommend Charles for his kindness, his amazing knowledge, his humour and his patience with the group. Charles - amazing guide and person Charles was our driver and guide at our 30th anniversary 10 days trip to Tanzania. He is experienced, reliable, knowledgeable, a pleasant-mannered person, great to have conversations with. A rare combination of a field man and a certified tour guide. Took care of us from the moment we arrived until returning to the airport at the end of the trip. Patiently answered all our questions (and we had a lot...). Charles was highly motivated to find animals and bring us to them up close, to arrive at the right moment to the great Gnu crossing the Mara River and in general to respond to every request we had.
